Total Number of Medical College and Medical Seats in India: India has a total of 612 medical colleges. India has a totally of 322 government MBBS colleges which is 48012 government seats for MBBS. India has 290 private MBBS colleges with 43915 private MBBS seats and totally India has 612 medical colleges including in Government and private sectors with 91927 medical MBBS seats in private and government colleges.

The central government of India officially released the state and union territory-wise list for the MBBS colleges under Government and private sectors including AIMS and JIPMER. At the all-India level total MBBS seats Tamilnadu secured first place followed by Karnataka, Maharashtra Uttar Pradesh.
As per the list released by the central government of India Tamil Nadu has the largest number of MBBS colleges and the largest number of MBBS seats all over India. Tamil Nadu has 5,225 seats with 38 government colleges and 5500 seats in the 32 private colleges and totally Tamilnadu has 70 colleges for MBBS under 10,725 seats for MBBS. Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya as the lowest seeds of a total of 50 with only one government college for MBBS seats.
Karnataka has 10145 seats with 63 MBBS colleges and secured second place in all India for the total MBBS seats. Karnataka has 21 government colleges with 3150 seats and 42 private colleges with 6995 seats.

The Adhiyamaan College of Engineering started in 1987–88, and is one of the educational institutions developed by Adhiyamaan Educational and Research Institution Trust. It is the first engineering college to be started in the most backward Dharmapuri District of the State of Tamil Nadu. It was originally affiliated with the University of Madras. When Periyar University was carved out from the University of Madras, the colleges affiliation was changed to it. Is carrying out projects of worth Rs. 53 lakhs , that are received as grant from AICTE, DST Has received Rs. 26.67 lakhs as grant from AICTE, DBT, Anna University, ISTE etc., for conducting Faculty Development Programmes, and Workshops. Five departments of our college are recognized as research centers and 40 faculty members are recognized as research supervisors by Anna University. 81 research scholars from various institutes are carrying out their doctoral research under the supervision of our faculty members.
Has a Scopus index of 29 for the research publications of our faculty members. Has secured Outstanding Institution Award during the 1st AICTE-ECI Chhatra Viswakarma Award – 2017 from AICTE, MHRD, Govt. of India in 2017. Has bagged 26 innovative students project awards at national level for their final year projects from Indian National Academy of Engineering, New Delhi and ISTE. Students won several prizes in SMART INDIA HACKATHON ’17, 18 and 19 conducted by AICTE. Bagged Anna University IPR excellence Award in 2016 for the years 2010-15. Is recognized as the best exam preparatory center for conducting Business English Certificate (BEC) examination by Cambridge ESOL for the past five years in India & one among 25 South Asia\’s Best Preparatory Centers (2016-18).
